So let's catch up with our past few months. For Sam's birthday, we went on an epic camping adventure in the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge. We stayed in all the possible camping places; a cabin rental, a tent, and the back of the truck. We experienced rain, sun and even snow (just above us on the mountains surrounding our last night's camping spot at Hidden Lake.)

Sam enjoyed his chocolate cupcakes.

We did some hiking, too. Even Blaise pulled his weight 1000 feet up a small mountain, where the view of Skilak Lake and the Kenai River was amazing!

The cabin came with a boat and life jackets, as well as a fine population of bears. We saw 4 black bears while we were there (across the lake), and one more while we were driving to our hike.

Below are also pictures from Halloween and Thanksgiving, but I'm still learning to format the page in a pleasing way, so I'm going to just leave it at that before this post sucks any more valuable time away from my life.
