The Good Life

We've been having some busy weeks here in Homer. The weather finally took a turn toward spring, with warmish breezes and rain mixed in our snow. This means the season known as Breakup has commenced. We are all shod in mud boots, parking at the bottom of our driveway and slogging up to the house through the mud. Groceries go up in a wheelbarrow, or on our backs. In the middle of this unglamorous situation, Sophie attended the Junior/Senior prom accompanied by her posse:

Whitney, Leah, Britni, Courtney, and Sophie.
The theme was Casino Royale, a play on 2007, and everyone had a great time.

All these lovely ladies are on the Junior Varsity softball team. Hailey and Dale also made the team (Dale is the coach).

In other news, Hailey will be attending a School Band Competition in Orlando from April 25-29th. Anyone who will be in the area will get an opportunity to see Hailey pounding away in the percussion section. You can email me for more info.

This fall our road name was changed to honor our dog. Unfortunately, all this attention has gone to his head, and now he sits around all day waiting for the Nobel Prize committee to arrive with a check (or is it Ed McMahan?) No matter. He will just have to get over himself soon.

Blaise andSam are both very wheel-identified kids these days. The video is of Sam on his hot wheels bike.
That's all for now. Since I expect my entries to be quite sporadic, I would suggest that you subscribe to this blog at the end of this page so you get an email when I do get around to updating.
Happy Spring!
